Mopane Seed
Botswana’s version of Juniper, this our very own, extraordinary discovery. It contains a-Pinene, an organic compound of the terpene class, and a key element which gives our gin it’s signature flavour.
We distil with patience and purpose for you to enjoy at a slower pace.
Our Ingredients
Three ingredients that make Okavango Gin impossible to make anywhere else.

IISource
At the heart of our gins is the sand and papyrus filtered waters from the Tsutsubega floodplain, the result of a thousand-mile meander from the Okavango’s origins in the highlands of central Angola.
IIITradition
When the seasons allow, the women in the village of Gweta brew traditional beer “Bojalwa ja Morula”made from the Marula fruit. It's the magic ingredient of our limited seasonal gin, The Forager.

The Delta in Pictures

Visit the Delta
We've created an extraordinary way to experience our distillery; its wildness and remoteness yours to explore for the afternoon.
The journey begins with a short helicopter transfer into the Delta. Upon arrival, the doors are removed and you'll embark on a breathtaking 45-minute scenic flight, offering an unrivalled perspective of one of the world's most remarkable ecosystems.
Back on the ground, you'll be welcomed with a Gin & Tonic or signature cocktail before joining a guided tour of the distillery. Here, you'll discover how Okavango Gin is made and learn about the positive impact the business creates for local communities and the regional economy.
You'll then have the opportunity to bottle your own complimentary gin before settling into the shade of the ebony forest, where time seems to move a little more slowly.
A short helicopter transfer returns you to Maun, carrying with you a deeper connection to the Delta, its people and the spirit inspired by it.
